Abstract

Skrining dan Identifikasi Bakteri Termofilik Penghasil Xilanase Menggunakan Gen Penyandi 16S-rRNA telah dilakukan pada bulan November 2013-April 2014 di laboratorium Mikrobiologi, Genetika dan Bioteknologi, Jurusan Biologi, Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, Universitas Sriwijaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan bakteri termofilik penghasil enzim xilanase serta mengetahui jenisnya dan kekerabatannya. Hasil seleksi didapatkan 4 isolat yang menunjukan adanya aktivitas xilanase. Berdasarkan analisis filogenetik isolat xilanolitik memiliki kemiripan dengan Anoxybacillus rupienensis 99% (TSiAj), Anoxybacillus vitaminiphilus 84,47% (TS1A2), Bacillus licheniformis 99% (TS2A1, TS2A2, TS2A3 dan TS3A2) dan Brevibacillus thermoruber 99% (TS1S2).
