Abstract
The sesquiterpenes compound have been isolated from endophytic microba in the branches of Kandis Gajah (Garcinia griffithii T.Anders). Isolation was begun with cultivation of Acremonium sp. fungi in 3 L of PDB's media (Potato Dextrose Broth ) for four weeks. Media was extracted into the solvent ethyl acetate following by evaporation. Ethyl acetate extract was separated by chromatographv techniques in order to get pure compound. The molecular structures of the isolated compound was determined based on spectroscopy data including IR, NMR 1D and 2D. Based on the spectroscopy, it showed that the result of isolation compound is group of sesquiterpenes with molecule abbreviation is C15H22O4 and it’s name is 3.5-dihydroxy-2.5-dimethyltrideca-2.9.1 l-tryena-4.8-dyon. The isolated compound was submitted to antioxidant activity assay using l.l-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) method. The compound was assigned value IC50 9.49 pg/mL and it was determined as active antioxidant activity.
