Abstract

One compound ester group from endophylic fungi (Chochlibolus lunatus) living in symbiotic that is tunjuk. langit [Helminthostachys zeylanica (Linn) Hoo] has been isolated. Isolation begin with cultivation of Chochlibolus lunatus fungi in 5 L of PDB's media ( Potato Dextrose Broth ) for eight weeks. Then, media extracted partially using ethyl acetate and then evaporated. Concentrated extract of etbyl acetate which is derived separated and purifield by using chromatography to get pure compound in the form of yellow oil. The structure of pure compound which is yielded determined by the methodes of spectroscopy consist of UV, IR and NMR . Based on the analysis of spectroscopy data, the compound is the group of aliphatic ester that is 1 l,12,13-trimetylheksyl-2-metylheksa-2,4-dienoat with molecuie formula C16H29O2 (BM = 254). This compound is not found in the host piants. According to the data, it’s concluded that endophytic microbe Chochlibolus lunatus from tunjuk langit plant different compound which is not produced by the host plant.
