Abstract

Penelitian mengenai Identifikasi jenis Serangga yang Berpotensi Sebagai Pakan Tarsius bancanus saltator Dengan Menggunakan Metode light trap dan pitfall trap di Gunung Tajam, Kabupaten Belitung, Provinsi Bangka Belitung telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni sampai dengan Agustus 2010 di daerah sekitar kawasan Hutan Lindung Gunung Tajam Pulau Belitung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis serangga yang berpotensi sebagai pakan Tarsius bancanus saltator di Pulau Belitung. Identifikasi sampel dilakukan di Laboratorium Entomologi, bidang Zoologi LIPI Cibinong, Bogor. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode perangkap lihgt trap dan pitfall trap di 3 lokasi pengamatan yaitu kebun karet, hutan sekunder, dan kebun lada. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa serangga yang berpotensi sebagai pakan Tarsius bancanus saltator terdiri dari 4 ordo dan 5 famili yaitu ordo Lepidoptera (famili Noctuidae dan Geometridae), ordo Orthoptera (famili Gryllidae), ordo Isoptera (famili Termitidae), dan ordo Hymenoptera (famili Formicidae). Lokasi yang memiliki jumlah taksa (famili) dan kelimpahan serangga tertinggi adalah hutan sekunder.
