Abstract
Penelitian ini merancang dan membuat sistem pemantau intensitas cahaya matahari menggunakan PC-Link USB Smart I/O dan komputer, yang data hasil pengukurannya dapat langsung tersimpan secara otomatis. Sensor yang digunakan yaitu LDR (light dependent resistor), sensor mampu mengukur intensitas cahaya matahari antara 0 lux hingga 50000 lux dengan resolusi 0,01%. Bahasa program yang digunakan adalah Visual Basic 6.0. Intensitas cahaya matahari dari hasil pengukuran akan ditampilkan di komputer, disimpan dalam bentuk database (microsoft office acces). Alat ini telah diuji menggunakan lampu di ruang gelap (laboratorium) dan di lapangan. Pada pengukuran dengan menggunakan lampu terdapat error maksimal sebesar 5,78%, presisi minimum sebesar 95,1%, dan akurasi minimum sebesar 94,22%. Selain itu, pengukuran di lapangan terdapat nilai intensitas cahaya matahari tertinggi sebesar 49393.94 lux pada saat siang hari sekitar pukul 12:00 - 12:30 WIB.
