Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari kemampuan beberapa isolat bakteri hidrokarbonoklastik yang diisolasi dari tanah asal hutan Mangrove desa Sungsang dalam menurunkan kadar TPH (total petroleum hidrokarbon) tanah yang tercemar minyak bumi. Penelitian diawali dengan pengambilan contoh tanah tercemar minyak bumi asal rhizosfer mangrove dengan metode purposive sampling sebagai sumber isolat bakteri hidrokarbonoklastik. Isolat yang diperoleh dari isolasi dan seleksi bakteri asal hutan mangrove yang terbukti mampu merombak minyak bumi skala laboratorium, dijadikan perlakuan pada tanah yang tercemar minyak bumi menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap. hidrokarbonoklastik yang mampu hidup dalam medium mengandung minyak bumi. Dari 30 isolat tersebut, terseleksi 9 isolat yang terbukti mampu merombak minyak bumi. Dua isolat terbaik dalam merombak minyak bumi mampu menurunkan TPH berturut-turut 65 % untuk I5 dan 70% untuk I8 lebih tinggi dibandingkan kontrol. Kedua isolat tersebut diidentifikasikan sebagai Alcaligenes faecalis untuk isolat kode Is dan Pseudomonas alcaligenes untuk isolat kode I8.
