Abstract
The pandemic of Covid-19 virus demands policymakers in each country to be sensitive and imaginative in identifying the best answers to problems that develop in people's lives. One of the groups experiencing enormous hurdles in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic is marginal community groups, one of which includes India's sex workers. As a result of the discontinuation of their job as sexual needs service providers, these groups must be able to live on a limited revenue. The inefficiency of Indian government regulations, which appear to make it more difficult for sex workers to receive assistance, underscores the significance of a second actor in protecting these community groups. This research focuses on the role of the Asia Pacific Network for Sex Workers (APNSW), a non-governmental organization in the Asia Pacific area, in assisting in the protection of sex workers in India. Using a qualitative method, it was determined that APNSW may serve three roles as an NGO: implementer, partner, and catalyst.
