Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mempelajari perubahan sifat kimia tanah yang terkontaminasi timbal dan pertumbuhan tanaman bayam (Amaranthus hibridus L) akibat pemberian kompos. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Rumah Kaca dan Laboratorium Biologi, Kimia dan Kesuburan Tanah, Jurusan Tanah, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas, Sriwijaya, Indralaya. Menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) satu faktor. Faktor perlakuan adalah dosis kompos yaitu 0, 30, 60, dan 90 ton ha'1. Masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak 5 kali. Hasil penelitian menunjukan pemberian kompos sangat menentukan penurunan Pb tanah dan dapat meningkatkan pH tanah, C-organik dan KTK. Pemberian kompos juga meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman bayam seperti tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, berat berangkasan tajuk dan berat berangkasan akar dengan kisaran 29,1% - 791,14%.
