Abstract
Shallot production in Indonesia continues to increase from year to year, and is balanced by the high level of public consumption of shallots. The aim of the research was to determine and study the growth and yield characteristics of shallots against various concentrations of liquid organic fertilizer (POC) and the application of vermicompost as a mixture for planting media cultivated with a floating farming system. The research was carried out at Embung, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya Indralaya University, Ogan Ilir, South Sumatra from June to September 2021. This study used a Randomized Block Design (RAK) and ANOVA. The seeds used were shallots of the Bima Brebes variety. The POC dose treatment consisted of 3 treatment levels, namely P0 = Control, P1 = 4 ml/l, P2 = 8 ml/l, P3 = 16 ml/l. Parameters observed were plant length, number of leaves, number of tillers, level of greenness of leaves, tuber diameter, fresh weight of tubers, fresh weight of tubers, wind dry weight of bulbs and dry weight of hot air. Based on the results of the study showed that the application of a mixture of liquid organic fertilizer and vermicompost on each planting medium did not have a positive effect on each treatment compared to the control treatment. The dose of liquid organic fertilizer 16 ml (P3) is the best treatment, it can be seen from the growth parameters to the results that show significant data. Keywords: Liquid Organic Fertilizer, Shallots, Floating Agriculture.
