Abstract

Skripsi ini ditulis berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pupuk organik terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman kangkung (Ipomoea reptans Poir) pada Inceptisol, yang dilaksanakan dari bulan Desember 2009 sampai bulan Februari 2010 di Rumah Kaca dan Laboratorium Kimia, Biologi serta Kesuburan Tanah Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sriwijaya Kampus Indralaya, Sumatera Selatan. Penelitian ini merupakan yang penelitian pot di Rumah Kaca dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap, 8 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan yang dicobakan meliputi, perlakuan tanpa pupuk (Do), V2 dosis anjuran pupuk anorganik (Di), 1 dosis anjuran pupuk anorganik (D2), 400 kg pupuk organik ha'1 (D3), 800 kg pupuk organik ha'1 (D4), 1200 kg pupuk organik ha'1 (D5), 1600 kg pupuk organik ha'1 (Dg), dan 2000 kg pupuk organik ha'1 (D7). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk organik berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman kangkong (Ipomoea reptans Poir) pada Inceptisol. Pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman kangkung yang terbaik dicapai dengan pemberian 800 kg pupuk organik ha'1, tidak berbeda nyata dengan pemberian 2000 kg pupuk organik ha'1.
