Abstract

K-Means and Single Linkage are methods used for clustering (grouping). The data used is iris data with k cluster is three. K-Means and Single Linkage methods have differences where the K-Means method use centroid point on grouping, while Single Linkage does not use centroid point but using a grouping of closest distance. In order to find out the effect of centroid point on results of the two grouping methods, then proposing a research on comparing KMeans and Single Linkage method by considering performance and computation time. Based on the test results it was known that K-Means method is better than Single Linkage method.
