Abstract
This study was carried with following objectives: (1) Measuring the perception of rice farmers towards the SERASI program, (2) Calculating the income of rice farmers in the implementation of the SERASI program and knowing its relationship to the perceptions expressed, and (3) Knowing the smooth running of the SERASI program which has been running in recent years. This research was conducted in Srimenanti Village, Tanjung Lago District, Banyuasin Regency. Location selection is done purposively or intentionally. Data collection at the research location was carried out in January 2022. The research method used was a survey. The sampling method used in this study was simple random sampling with 30 respondents. The data used in this study are primary and secondary data. The results of this study indicate that; (1) Farmers' perceptions of the SERASI program in Srimenanti Village are based on four indicators that are in good criteria, (2) There is a significant relationship between age, education, and land ownership. Meanwhile, what is not related is the number of family members on farmers' perceptions of the SERASI program. The average income of rice farmers in their farming activities is Rp11,793,030/ha/yr. And there is no significant relationship between farmers' perceptions of the SERASI program, and (3) the SERASI program in Srimenanti Village has been running smoothly as expected, but there have been several obstacles that have occurred recently caused by natural factors such as at some points the levees burst due to the rushing tide.
