Abstract

This study aimed to study the differences in the effectiveness of the administration of PSOC and Biostimulants on the growth rate and production of red chili plants and their effect on pH and plant nutrient uptake and NPK in Ultisols. The design in this study was a randomized block design with 8 levels of treatment. Each treatment was repeated 3 times, so there were 24 experimental units. The data obtained in this study were analyzed using by comparing the calculated F value with F table 5% and F table 1%. If the calculated F has a significant or very significant effect, then continue with the Orthogonal Contrast test at the 5% and 1% levels. The results showed that the application of PSOC tended to be better in increasing growth, production and speeding up the time of flower emergence on red chili plants as well as increasing the N-Total, P-Available and K-dd values in Ultisols. Biostimulant application tends to be better in increasing the soil pH value, levels and nutrient uptake of N, P and K red chili plant tissue in the primordia phase. The method of applying PSOC to seeds with a concentration of 100 ppm and watering the soil as much as 2 ml/plant combined with Urea and NPK fertilizers showed the best results in increasing the number of productive branches and production of red chili plants by 9.39 tons ha-1 and tended to be better in increasing the height, number of branches, speeding up the appearance of flowers and increasing the N-Total, P-Available and K-dd values on Ultisols. Biostimulant application to seeds with a concentration of 100 ppm combined with Urea and NPK fertilizers tended to be better in increasing the levels and nutrient uptake of N, P and K red chili plant tissue in the primordia phase.
