Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan guru PPKn dalam menyusun soal HOTS (Higher Order Thingking Skills) di SMA Methodist 2 Palembang, penelitian ini dilaksanakan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif, teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah non-probability sampling tipe purposive sampling dan pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan teknik dokumentasi yang dilanjutkan dengan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan guru PPKn dalam menyusun soal HOTS (Higher Order Thingking Skills) di SMA Methodist 2 Palembang ialah sebesar 47,15% (41 Soal), berada pada interval kelas 40% - 59,99% dalam kriteria sedang. Guru PPKn di SMA Methodist 2 Palembang memiliki kendala dalam penyusunan soal berbasis HOTS yaitu guru masih kesulitan untuk menentukkan KKO, guru masih membuat soal dengan model yang sama atau diulang – ulang, guru masih menyesuaikan diri dengan kurikulum darurat masa pandemi covid-19, latarbelakang pendidikan guru dan pengalaman mengajar guru yang terbilang belum lama juga turut mempengaurhi kemampuan guru.
