Abstract

This research was conducted to measure air quality with parameters of CO (Carbon monoxide), CO2 (Carbon dioxide), and O3 (Ozone) by implementing Fuzzy Sugeno based on Air Pollution Standard Index (ISPU) as a determinant of air quality in Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) ). Besides this research also calculate Quality of Service (QoS) on WSN network with parameter of throughput, delay, and packet loss. There are two scenarios of Xbee communication test with distance 50 m, 100 m, and 150 m with Non Line Of Sight (NLOS) condition, and collecting data of air condition around with designed air quality detector as well as calculating QoS on WSN network with the distance of node to sink / co-ordinator 160 m, 220 m, and 260 m in area with NLOS condition. While the second scenario is to test Fuzzy Sugeno on the research tool where the results are displayed on the interface that has been designed with Visual Basic programming, and also calculate the QoS on the WSN network, as well as measuring the area that can cover xbee with Line of Sight (LOS) condition. The test results show the communication between nodes with a distance of 50, 100, and 150 m is succes without any communication interrupted during 1.5 hours of research. The biggest delay in the first scenario is 3.697 seconds and the smallest delay is 0.017 seconds. For successful throughput calculated is 1.4412 Kbps and average packet loss in this scenario is 3.07%. The second scenario test results show on the interface can be displayed output of air quality with Fuzzy Sugeno as decision makers with successful throughput value is 436.8 bps and packet loss of 0% and the largest delay is 1.544 seconds and the smallest is 0.013 seconds with the condition of the area LOS with coverage of xbee is 2.12 km
