Abstract
Purple sweet potato is characterized by a fairly dark purple color in the sweet potato flesh. The purple color of sweet potatoes is due to the presence of compounds called anthocyanins. This research was conducted to evaluate the response of growth and production of purple sweet potatoes on mixture of planting media with different organic fertilizers. This research was conducted from May to December 2021 on Jalan Seruni, Bukit Lama. This study used purple sweet potato cuttings. This study used a randomized block design consisting of 4 treatments, namely A = Soil (1) + Manure (1), B = Soil (1) + Empty oil palm bunches (1), C = Soil (1) + Manure (1) + Banana Beetle liquid organic fertilizer (1:9) and D = Soil (1) + Empty oil palm bunches (1) + Banana Beetle liquid organic fertilizer (1:9). The composition of the planting media for empty oil palm bunches gave the best results compared to the composition of the growing media for cow manure. The composition of the planting media of manure and empty oil palm bunches which was added with liquid organic fertilizer of banana weevil gave the best results compared to not added liquid organic fertilizer of banana weevil.
