Abstract
Preparation of calcium oxide from Anas Platyrhynchos egg shell through thermal decomposition at 600°-1100°C for 3 hours has been carried out. Calcium oxide was characterized using XRD and FT-IR Spectrofotometer. The results showed that diffraction pattem of XRD decomposition at 900°C quite similar with Standard diffraction of CaO from JCPDS with 20 value at 32.3°, 37.4°, 54.0°, 64.2°, and 67.5°. FT-IR Spectra showed vibration of Ca-0 fungsional group appeared at wave number 401.2 cm'1. Calcium oxide from preparation was applied in the biodiesel synthesis from waste cooking oil resulted biodiesel with density 0.857 g/cm3 ,viscosity 6.004 mm2/s acid value 0.5610 mg/KOH and iod number 62.604 g t/lOOg which are appropriate with SNI Standard.
