Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of group counseling services to students who cheated in SMP Negeri 1 Prabumulih. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative type of research application. The subjects of this study were teachers of BK and VIII students of seven students. The datacollection technique used is observation. The collected data is then analyzed using descriptive based on observation sheet. Observations indicate that group counseling services work well, as group and group leaders apply group counseling steps, from the stage of formation, intermediate stage, activity stage and termination phase. This is reinforced by data showing that group leaders are very well categorized while group members get good and excellent categories in group counseling. But in the application of group counseling there are still weaknesses that occur in the stage of activity that is not fully formed dynamics, but after three times group counseling activities dynamics can run well and group leaders are able to build enthusiastic group members to participate actively.
