Abstract

A lithium ion battery is a rechargeable battery and moves from the negative to the positive electrode when discharged. In the lithium ion battery component there is an electrode section. This section serves as a place to store energy and a place for chemical reactions to occur. The use of carbon from natural sources such as biological sources and industrial waste has been widely used by previous researchers. For example, the use of water spinach (Ipomoea aquatica) as an electrode produces the highest power of 0.143 W using 40% liquid electrolyte media and Polyurethane (PU) binder. In this study, various types of LiCl and Li2SO4 electrolytes, PU binders and ink refills were used, and the addition of TEA emulsion to improve battery performance. Batteries with 40% Li2SO4 electrolyte and using ink refills binder and the addition of emulsion have the highest power and energy values of 2,4x10-5 W dan 2,2x10-6 W.h.
