Abstract

Research design pre-experimental one group pre-test post-test and aims to determine whether there is an impact of health education animation videos on the level of confidence of participants in the Covid-19 vaccine at Siti Fatimah Hospital, South Sumatra Province. The theory used in this study is the belief theory of Mowen and Minor. The population of this study was the participants of the Covid-19 vaccine at the Siti Fatimah Hospital, South Sumatra Province. The sampling technique used purposive sampling and accidental sampling. The sample in this study amounted to 30 vaccine participants. Data collection techniques were carried out by distributing pre-test and given intervention using animated video media and then given post-test questionnaires, documentation studies and observations. The results of data analysis of the average confidence score of vaccine participants at the time pre-test was 60.33 and after the intervention using animated video media, the average score at the time of the post-test was 69.67. The results of the hypothesis test using the paired sample t-test, the results of the calculation obtained the value of sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05, then the data stated that there was a difference in the level of confidence of participants in the Covid-19 vaccine at Siti Fatimah Hospital, South Sumatra Province before and after being given an intervention using animated video media for health education for the Covid-19 vaccine.
