Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the effect of liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) of banana fruit which various dosages of NPK on the growth dormant stump of rubber (Hevea brasiliensis Muell. Arg) clone PB 260. This research was carried out at research station Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, from July to October 2021. The study was designed using Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 6 treatments, each treatment was repeated 3 times, each treatment unit contained 5 plants. The treatments were P0 = control (without banana LOF) + 12 g NPK/polybag, P1 = 100 ml banana LOF + 10 g NPK/polybag, P2 = 100 ml banana LOF + 8 g NPK/polybag, P3 = 100 ml banana LOF + 6 g NPK/polybag, P4 = 100 ml banana LOF + 4 g NPK, P5 = 100 ml banana LOF (without NPK). The parameters measured in this study were time of shoot break, percentage of rubber sprout, height of shoot, speed of shoot growth, amount of leaf, diameter of shoot, shoot fresh weight, shoot dry weight, root fresh weight, root dried weight, shoot water content and root length. The results showed that the application of liquid organic fertilizer bananas and NPK fertilizer had no significant effect on the growth of dormant stump of rubber (Hevea brasiliensis Muell. Arg) clone PB 260.
