Abstract

Indonesian Cooperatives are a joint effort, especially in the economic field, consisting of cooperative individuals or legal entities who cooperate voluntarily to achieve common goals. Cooperatives have an important role in economic activities. Musi Banyuasin Regency is one of the regencies in the Province of South Sumatra which has rapid development in the field of cooperatives. The development of the number of cooperatives in Musi Banyuasin Regency in the last five years has increased. The Suka Makmur Palm Oil Producers Cooperative (KPKS) is a PSR participant whose plantations are harvested for the first time. They are able to manage finances and achieve productivity according to targets. This study aims to (1) measure the performance of the Suka Makmur KPKS in running a cooperative in Suka Damai Baru Village, Sungai Lilin District, Musi Banyuasin Regency. (2) Calculate the income of oil palm farmers who are members of the Suka KPKS in Suka Damai Baru Village, Sungai Lilin District, Musi Banyuasin Regency. (3) Analyzing the relationship between the performance of the Suka Makmur KPKS and the income of oil palm farmers in Suka Damai Baru Village, Sungai Lilin District, Musi Banyuasin Regency. This research was conducted in Suka Damai Village, Sungai Lilin District, Musi Banyuasin Regency. Location selection is purposive. Data collection is carried out in November 2021 until complete. The research method used in this research is the Survey Method. This study took 31 samples from 472 populations. The results of the study show that (1) The calculation results of the Suka Makmur KPKS performance are the liquidity ratios in the good category. The solvency ratio is in the Good category and the profitability ratio is in the poor category. Non-financial performance consisting of the perspective of cooperative institutions, the perspective of cooperative business, the perspective of the benefits of cooperatives to the community and the perspective of the benefits of cooperatives to the community are included in the High criteria. (2) The average income of the oil palm plantation members of KPKS Suka Makmur is Rp. 10,501.101/ha/year. (3) Suka Makmur KPKS performance has a significant positive relationship with the income of oil palm farmers.
