Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the growth and yield of the sanren variety of shallots with various doses of N fertilizer. The study was conducted in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University from April 2019 to July 2019. The seeds used were red onions of the sanren variety. Treatments P0 = 100% soil (control), P1 = 200 kg Urea/ha (0.46 g N/plant), P2 = 250 kg Urea/ha (0.575 g N/plant), P3 = 300 kg Urea/ha (0.69 g N/plant), P4 = 350 kg Urea/ha (0.805 g N/plant). The observed variables included plant height, number of leaves, number of tillers, number of tubers, tuber diameter, tuber fresh weight, tuber dry weight, net assimilation rate and relative growth rate. The research treatment had a significant effect on the number of tillers at the seventh week and the number of tubers per clump. No significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, number of tillers in the second week, number of tillers in the third week, the number of tillers in the fourth week, the number of tillers in the fifth week, the number of tillers in the sixth week, the number of tillers in the eighth week, tuber diameter, tuber fresh weight, tuber dry weight. , net assimilation rate and relative growth rate. The application of N fertilizer at a dose of 350 kg Urea/ha (0.805 g N/plant) could increase the number of tillers and the number of tubers per clump.
