Abstract

In managing and storing knowledge, PT TASPEN (Persero) Palembang uses archives and computers as media. But this is still considered to be less effective, as it is difficult to retrieve the knowledge if it is needed at any time. Another thing to be noted is that the knowledge stored is only for the documents, however the knowledge of the individual employees is an important asset that must be managed by the company that will be useful for the development of the company itself. To manage these knowledge and simplify the process of retrieval, the development of knowledge management system using string matching method and also the boyer moore horspool algorithm is being done. String matching is a major part of the searching process to get the required documents and knowledge. By developing this system is expected to assist in the management of knowledge at PT. TASPEN (Persero) Palembang.
