Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between social support and work family balance in married nurses. The hypothesis of this study is that there is a relationship between social support and work family balance in married nurses. Participants in this study were 100 married nurses in Indonesia. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling technique. The measuring instrument used is the social support scale which refers to the type of Sarafino & Smith (2011) and the work family balance scale which refers to the components of Greenhaus, Collins & Shaw (2003). Data analysis using Pearson's product moment correlation. The results of the Pearson's product moment correlation show the value of R = 0.751 with a value of P = 0.000 (p <0.05). This shows that there is a positive and significant relationship between social support and work family balance. Thus, the hypothesis in this study can be accepted.
