Abstract

This research is entitled The Role of the Kemplang Cracker Home Industry in Improving the Family Economy in Paku Village, Kayuagung District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of the kemplang cracker home industry in improving the family economy in Paku Village, Kayuagung District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. This research method is a descriptive qualitative research method that develops descriptive data from the role of the kemplang cracker home industry in improving the family economy. The informants of this research were selected purposively, which is a technique that aims to take informants from people who are really involved with the problems being studied. Types and sources of data obtained through primary data and secondary data with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The data collected were analyzed using the Miller and Huberman flow consisting of data reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The results of this study indicate that the role of the kemplang cracker home industry in increasing family economic income in the Paku Village, Kayuagung District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency is to increase family income, reduce the unemployment rate in the Paku village area, and increase the role of women in the small kemplang cracker industry. The family's economic income after implementing the kemplang cracker home industry has increased. The role of the kemplang cracker home industry in changing the family economy in Paku Village, Kayuagung District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency is to increase family income and help meet family needs. The kemplang cracker home industry has an important role in improving the family economy in particular, and the economy of the community in general. Factors that support and inhibit the role of the kemplang cracker home industry in improving the family economy in Paku Village, Kayuagung District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency are capital factors, weather factors or season and amount of production, facilities and infrastructure factors, marketing factors, and also raw material factors.
