Abstract

This study aims to look at the potential competitiveness of South Sumatran rubber commodities in the Indonesia-Germany trade balance based on international standards and to see how the trading strategy of South Sumatran rubber commodities is in the tradeoff. This research was conducted in South Sumatra, Indonesia with South Sumatran rubber as the research commodity. The variable of this research is the trading strategy of rubber commodities in South Sumatra in the Indonesia-Germany trade balance, as well as exports, imports, and international agreements as indicators. Sources of data used in this study using secondary data. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method. The results of this study show that on export indicators the best trade strategy is to increase the product value and quality of South Sumatran rubber products, from import indicators the best trade strategy is to seek information and communicate in order to get products with the best value from Germany for domestic needs, and from agreement indicators. international security in the form of security as a legal basis to provide legal protection to both parties in the Indonesia-Germany trade off activities Keywords: Trade, Trade Strategy, Export, Import, International Agreement.
