Abstract
ABSTRAK Lokasi penelitian tugas akhir ini sama dengan lokasi pemetaan geologi yang telah dilakukan sebelumnya. Lokasi ini tepatnya di daerah Sawangan dan Sekitarnya, Kecamatan Seliling, Kabupaten Kebumen, Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Penelitian tugas akhir ini di fokuskan pada satu Formasi yaitu Formasi Penosogan. Karakteristik endapan sedimen turbidit yang menarik dan juga singkapan yang masih baik merupakan alasan terfokusnya penelitian tugas akhir ini. Adapun metode yang diambil pada penelitian tugas akhir ini yaitu observasi lapangan, analisis laboratorium, serta analisis studio. Formasi Penosogan termasuk kedalam endapan sedimen laut dalam yang didominasi dengan perselingan batulempung dan batupasir. Adapun endapan turbidit itu sendiri yaitu endapan dari semua aliran sedimen yang mana gravitasi sangat berpengaruh pada pembentukan batuan sedimen pada Formasi Penosogan ini. Endapan turbidit pada Formasi Penosogan berumur Miosen Awal- Miosen Tengah dengan asosiasi dari fasies turbidit variasi pengendapan submarine fan. Penelitian ini menjelaskan tentang fasies turbidit yang diidentifikasi dari hubungan stratigrafi batuan pada daerah penelitian, dari segi vertikal maupun horizontal yang mengkaitkan dengan data fosil yang telah diambil dan dianalisa sebelumnya. Kata kunci : Fasies Turbidit, Formasi Penosogan, Biozonasi. ABSTRACT The location of this final project is the same as the geological mapping that has been done previously. This location is precisely in the Sawangan area and its surroundings, Seliling District, Kebumen Regency, Central Java Province. This final project research is focused on one formation, namely the Penosogan Formation. The interesting characteristics of turbidite sediment deposits and also good outcrops are the reasons for the focus of this final project. The methods used in this research are field observation, laboratory analysis, and studio analysis. The Penosogan Formation is included in deep sea sedimentary deposits which are dominated by alternating claystones and sandstones. The turbidite deposit itself is the sediment of all sediment flows where gravity is very influential in the formation of sedimentary rocks in the Penosogan Formation. The tubidite deposits in the Penosogan Formation are early Miocene-middle Miocene with associations of the tubidite facies with variations in submarine fan deposition. This study explains the stratigraphic relationship in terms of vertical and horizontal linking with fossil data that has been taken and analyzed previously.
