Abstract

This research purposed to determine the type of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in the questions of the National Exam (UN) IPA level SD / MI in South Sumatera Academic Year 2014/2015, 2015/2016, and 2016/2017. The type of this research is descriptive research, content analysis type or document. The data in this research are characteristic and percentage of HOTS question type in UN Year 2014/2015, 2015/2016, and 2016/2017. One of the characteristics about the type of HOTS is a stimulus. Based on the result of data analysis obtained that the stimulus contained in the UN Year 2014/2015, 2015/2016, and 2016/2017 in the form of images, tables, case fragments, and word lists. The criteria of HOTS question type of UN Science at SD/MI level in South Sumatera The academic year 2014/2015, 2015/2016, and 2016/2017 have similarities in measuring cognitive level C4 analyzing and all the questons using image form stimuli, except one question that using case fragment stimulus. The forms of stimulus and percentage of each form of stimulus contained in the questions of UN IPA level SD/MI in South Sumatera Academic Year 2014/2015, 2015/2016, and 2016/2017 in arrow, which are the image of 35%, 45%, and 42 , 5%, table 2.5%, 5%, and 7.5%, case fragments 2.5%, 10% and 10%, and list of words 15%, 7.5%, and 5% . The percentage of HOTS type problem in the problem of UN IPA level of SD/MI in South Sumatera Year 2014/2015 as much as 2.5%, School Year 2015/2016 as much as 7.5%, and for the School Year 2016/2017 same with previous year that is as much 7.5%.
