Abstract
Identification of Lipase Producing Thermophilic Bacteria from Semendo using Molecular Biology-Based Approach 16S-rRNA gene has been conducted from January to March 2014, in the Laboratory of Microbiology and Genetics & Biotechnology Laboratory, Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Sriwijaya. This research aims to determine the type and the genetic relationship of lipase producing thermophilic bacteria from hot springs Semendo using 16S-rRNA coding genes. Selection result of the 6 isolates thermophilic bacteria from Semendo, obtain 4 isolates showed the presence of lipase activity. Based on phylogenetic analysis result, these isolates had a similarity of 99% with the genus Anoxybacillus sp. (AA1 and AA3, AB2), and 98% to the genus Bacillus sp. (LB1).
