Abstract

Penyakit Jantung Bawaan (PJB) adalah abnormalitas pada struktur jantung atau pembuluh darah besar yang terjadi saat perkembangan fetal. Tetralogy of fallot adalah malformasi jantung kongenital yang terdiri atas; ventral septal defect (VSD), stenosis pulmonal, overriding aorta, dan right ventricular hypertrophy (RVH). Anak dengan PJB rentan mengalami malnutrisi karena adanya penurunan energy intake, peningkatan kebutuhan energi, atau keduanya. Keadaan malnutrisi dapat diidentifikasi melalui perhitungan Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT). Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT) adalah Rasio berat terhadap tinggi badan yang dihitung dengan menggunakan rumus tertentu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan gambaran IMT anak dengan Tetralogy of Fallot di RSUP Dr Mohammad Hoesin Palembang periode 2019-2021. Dari jumlah total 47 sampel pasien anak, ditemukan 55,32% anak dengan IMT <-2 SD. Sebagian besar anak dengan TOF pada penelitian ini memiliki status gizi normal. Perlu dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut untuk mengetahui faktor malnutrisi lain pada anak TOF, serta penelitian prospektif untuk memantau perkembangan status gizi anak TOF.
