Abstract

The purpose of this research was to separate bioactive peptides and antioxidants and bioactive peptides anticholestrol to rusip. This study used an experimental laboratory which includes several stages of the extraction rusip, yield measurement rusip extract, fractionation rusip extract, yield measurement results rusip fractionated extracts, levels of peptides, antioxidant analysis with ABTS method and anticholesterol analysis with inhibition of HMG Co-A method. All treatment phases was repeated three times by using an aquabidest solvent. Rusip used in this study consisted of 2 types of Tiga Bintang rusip who has the best antioxidant activity and rusip SM who has the best anticholesterol activity based on the results of previous studies. The data of the research were provided using table and diagram, then it was analyzed descriptively. Rusip extract fractionation is based on differences in molecular weight that is E (metabolites intact without fractionation); F1 (BM >10 kDa); F2 (BM 1-10 kDa) and F3 (BM <1 kDa). Yield value of the highest rusip fractionation extract results for both rusip brands types generated by F1 Tiga Bintang rusip to the value of 16,61% followed by rusip SM 14,14%. Tiga Bintang and SM rusip peptide levels highest value contained in E respectively 1,22 and 1,25%. The highest antioxidant activity is achieved by 87,48% F3 with a value equivalent. Rusip anticholesterol activities of F2 extract with HMG-CoA reductase inhibition were higher at 50% compared to other samples, but the power of inhibition is much smaller compared to the control (Pravastatin).
