Abstract
The location of the research conducted in the Pit TAL west PT. Pamapersada Nusantara job site Muara Tiga Besar Utara. Currently PT. Pamapersada Nusantara using galied load excavator PC 2000 with productivity 800 BCM/hours specified by the company. Productivity of digging tools often fluctuate so that required calculation of productivity of digging tools directly in the field in order to see how far the ability of the excavator to work. In addition, conditions that affect the productivity of the excavator need to be known so that the increase in productivity of the excavator in doing its work can be done optimally. Soo get the result of the study of literature was undertaken covering specification tool, various existing materials and others. Then further carried out fieldwork with data retrieval include cycle time from excavator PC 2000, bucket fill factor, and swell factor. Influential component in the productivity of excavator such as the type of material, correction factor, swell factor, bucket fill factor and cycle time. Components that may indicate a state of excavator including mechanical availability including oncorrection factors. Component calculated productivity, then efforts improved productivity of excavators with bucket fill factor value. Based on the results of the research done, a material easy which is the most numerous type of overburden and observations there are two circumstances look at the time of dry and wet. At the time of the observation method of loading does is top loading, with a note on the PT. Pamapersada Nusantara exixting loading patterns in teori with the term top loading termed normal loading. After optimization of the excavations with notice the bucket fill factor accordingly obtained that with an increase in the value of the fill factor of the excavator bucket bucket of 2 % to a high capacity dumtruck, he managed to increase the productivity of 2.27 %.Percentage of attainment of productivity based on actual field reached 79 % of the company's plans set.
