Abstract
Self-Compacting Concrete which known by SCC is a kind of concreteof which compressed by its weight. The experiment about SCC continues to develop in which using glass bottle powder as cement substitution. Based on the experiment, variation of glass bottle powder that using as cement substitution maximal is 20%. This study aims to determine the effect of variation of glass bottle powder as cement substitution to SCC workability and compressive strength of SCC. The variations are 0%, 2.5%, 7.5%, and 12.5% which codified as SCC-0, SCC-1, SCC-2, SCC-3, and SCC-4. This experiment used curing method in water condition. The compressive strength of concrete was done on the 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th days. Based on the experiment, the compressive strength of the concrete has increasing in each long variation of the curing days. But, the compressive strength of the concrete on day 28 shows that 7.5% is the maximum variation that can be used as cement substituteon SCC with compressive strength of 62.458 MPa. The maximum workability of SCC which showed by Slump flow is 690 mm by SCC-0, v-funnel is 12 seconds by SCC-4, and L-box with ratio H1/H2 is 0.87 by SCC-0. Thus, it can be concluded that the glass bottle powder can increase the compressive strength of SCC with a maximum variation of 7.5% as a cement substitution.
