Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemahaman siswa mengenai konsep energi dan momentum. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif deskriptif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen tes Energy and Momentum Conceptual Survey (EMCS) yang berjumlah 25 soal pilhan ganda yang dianalisis menggunakan model Rasch. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di salah satu SMA Negeri Palembang. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 60 siswa yang terbagi dari 2 kelas. Instument yang digunakan terdiri dari 10 sub konsep EMCS. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terdapat dua kategori siswa dalam pemahaman konsep ini yaitu siswa dengan pemahaman tinggi dan siswa dengan pemahaman rendah. Soal yang paling sulit dikerjakan oleh siswa yaitu soal mengenai sub konsep kekekalan energi mekanik sedangkan soal paling mudah dikerjakan siswa yaitu soal mengenai sub konsep usaha yang dilakukan oleh gaya gravitasi.
