Abstract

Tidal swamp areas in South Sumatera is one of the areas that have the potential of natural and human resources that need to be develop. The purpose ofthis research were 1) knowing the factors that affect the water table fluctuation, 2) knowing and studying water table fluctuation in block tertiary, 3) can determine the appropriate cropping patterns based on water table and rainfall data. The research was carried out on site reclaimed tidal lowland of Delta Telang II Bangun Sari Village Tanjung Lago Subdistrict Banyuasin Regency South Sumatera. Data will be presented in the form of tables and graphics. The results showed that the condition advance water table in agriculturearea fluctuate throughout the month. Water table fluc tuation on Bangun Sari Village (P17-8S) influenced by rainfall, the distance channel and the channel conditions. Crop patterns in Bangun Sari Village was Rice – Corn, in December –March for rice crops, in June – September for corn crops, fallow temporarily occursin in April and October. Activities land clearing in May and November.
