Abstract

The purpose of this research were to know the yield extract from fractionation of bekasam and rusip, the antihypertensive activity in each fraction and to know the molecular weight of peptide that have antihypertensive function. This research was conducted from October 2017 until December 2017 with experimental laboratory method and the result was analyzed descriptively. Fractionation by molekul weight of bekasam and rusip is done to separate the peptide which is thought to be an Angiostensin Converting Enzyme Inhibitor (ACEI). Bekasam in this research was made with carp fish ( Rasbora argyrotenia ), salt (15%) and Rice (15%). The rusip in this research was purchased from Bangka, Indonesia. Extraction and fractionation sampel was done to ACEI activity test. There were four fractions from each sample there are F0 (without fractionation), F1 (BM> 10 kDa), F2 (BM 1-10 kDa), F3 (BM > 1 kDa) . The highest ACEI activity found on sample rusip F2 (97,52%), therefore the molecule weight analyzed will be done for sample rusip with SDS-Page-Electrophoresis method. The result showed there are similar peptide of F0 and F1 (44.78 kDa, 25.90 kDa and 17.18 kDa) and no peptide was found in the F2 and F3 fractions. This research gave the information that SDS-Page-Electrophoresis did not give optimum results and needed another method to find out the molecular weight of the peptide. Need further research about another components beside the peptide for ACEI activity on bekasam and rusip.
