Abstract
Suspension cultures of Allium sativum L were established from embryogenic callus explants. These explants were planted on Murashige and Skoog liquid medium supplemented with 100 mg/l, 300 mg/l, 500 mg/l L-glutamin and without L-glutamin as control. The use of 100 mg/l L-glutamin resulted the best somatic embryo development.
