Abstract
This study aimed to determine the effect of allelopat substances derived from leaves and bark of eucalyptus plants on the growth and yield of sweet corn. This research was conducted from Desember 2021 until February 2022 in the experimental field of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya. This study used a randomized block design (RBD) which consisted of 5 treatments and 3 replications. The treatment levels in this study were P0 = (Without allelopat extract), P1 = (2 g Leaf extract + 2 g bark extract), P2 = (4 g Leaf extract + 4 g bark extract), P3 = (6 g Leaf extract + 6 g bark extract), P4 = (8 g Leaf extract + 8 g bark extract). The research data were analyzed using ANOVA at the 5% level it was stated to be significantly different and further tested with the least significance different (LSD). The results showed that P4 treatment (8 g Leaf extract + 8 g Bark extract) was the highest dose of allelopat extract among other treatments that suppressed growth and yield of sweet corn plants and decreased production up to 44%.
