Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sistem pengangkutan kelapa sawit dari lahan ke pabrik, mengidentifikasi faktor penghambat dan pelancar system pengangkutan dan merencanakan armada pengangkutan kelapa sawit dan menganalisis biaya pengangkutan. Penentuan jumlah armada dumptruck tergantung dari siklus waktu kegiatan pengangkutan, antara lain : (1) jumlah waktu pemuatan, (2) waktu angkutan dumptruck dari lahan ke pabrik dan kembali ke pabrik, (3) waktu penimbangan, (4) waktu pembongkaran buah di loading ramp. Jumlah dumptruck yang dibutuhkan oleh pabrik tergantung pada jarak, luas dan jumlah pasokan produksi TBS yang dihasilkan dari kebun Unit Usaha Betung. Hasil pengamatan di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa kapasitas dumptruck ratarata 6 ton, kecepatan dumptruck tanpa muatan di dalam areal kebun adalah 60 km/jam dan kecepatan dumptruck dalam keadaan berisi muatan sebesar 40 km/jam. Waktu memuat kelapa sawit ke dalam dumptruck rata-rata 60 menit dan waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk membongkar buah di loading ramp rata-rata 2 menit per dumptruck. Kebutuhan biaya pengangkutan dumptruck diperoleh dari analisis biaya. Analisis biaya diperoleh dari biaya operasi dan biaya angkut yang diperlukan untuk tiap kilogram TBS yang dibawa oleh dumptruck pada kebun Betu sebanyak Rp 6,666/kg, kebun Beka sebanyak Rp 10/kg dan kebun Beta sebanyak Rp 15,723/kg. Besarnya biaya pengangkutan dipengaruhi oleh faktor jarak dan jumlah trip yang dapat ditempuh dari kebun ke pabrik pengolahan.
