Abstract
The study examines the increasing number of children on the street during Covid-19 pandemic. It is able to be seen from the number of children on the street who are still in school, as well the addition of distribution location and work variation. Therefore, this study aims to find and demonstrate children's on the street illustrations during the Covid-19 pandemic in Palembang. The method used in this study was descriptive qualitative. Furthermore, the data collection techniques were observation, interviews and documentation, and analytical tools using Phenomenology theory from Alfred Schutz. The study results showed children on the street in Palembang arise from low socioeconomic family backgrounds and create the emergence of motives that encourage them to decide to work on the streets. Meanwhile, the daily lives of children on the street during the Covid-19 pandemic were sellers of asoy bags, nyilper, nyapu and raincoats sellers. Furthermore, children on the street interpret their everyday experiences from those activities as practical activities to make money. However, it was also interpreted as a temporary action.
