Abstract

Hypertension is one of the health problems that can affect the quality of life and requires monitoring and control with one of the activities, namely the implementation of Posbindu PTM. The objective of this study was to disclose the relationship between the implementation of Posbindu PTM and the quality of life of patients with hypertension. The design of this study was an analytical observational quatitative study design with a cross sectional approach. Non-probability sampling through purposive sampling technique was used for the determination of the characteristics of the respondents during the preliminary study. The number of sample of this study was 72 respondents taken by means of non-probability sampling through accidental sampling technique that met the inclusion criteria. The instrument of this study was a questionnaire. The majority of respondents, namely as many as 67 (93.1%) had Posbindu PTM in sufficient category, and out of 72 respondents with hypertension, 40 respondents (55.6%) had high quality of life. Spearman test was used as the statistical analysis of this study with a degree of significance or α = 5% (0.05), p-value ≤ 0.05. The result of p-value was 0.021, which means that there was a relationship between the implementation of Posbindu PTM and the quality of life of the patients with hypertension. The implementation of the Posbindu PTM is effective for improving the quality of life of people with hypertension because it has a close relationship with increasing knowledge related to the routine activities of the Posbindu PTM which will make the patients have a good perception and be knowledgeable about their disease.
