Abstract

The development of plantations in the agricultural sector is increasingly rapid and advanced, one of which is the citrus lemon (Citrus limon) plantation located in Midar Village, Gelumbang District, Muara Enim Regency. Midar Village is famous for its Lemon (Citrus limon) plantations and tropical lemon juice farming. To see whether a business is feasible or not, a financial feasibility analysis is needed. The purposes of this study were (1) to calculate the income received by farmers in cultivating lemons in Midar Village, Gelumbang District, (2) to analyze the feasibility level of lemon business in Lemon Hamlet from financial and non- financial aspects, and (3) to identify the most important factors. affect the feasibility of lemon citrus farming in Midar Village, Gelumbang District. This research was conducted in Midar Village, Gelumbang District, Muara Enim Regency from March to April 2022. The research method used in this research is a case study method. The sampling method used in this study is a purposive sampling method with the determination of the sample based on a specific purpose. The sample used in this study was the owner of a lemon plantation in Midar Village, Gelumbang District. The data collected in this study consisted of primary data and secondary data. The results showed that the lemon citrus farming income for an area of 15 ha was Rp1,033,348,550,- per year, which is obtained from the production of 360,000,- Kg, with a selling price of Rp3,500,-/Kg, and production costs that must be incurred are Rp226,651,450,-. Lemon citrus farming by farmers in Midar Village with a land area of 15 hectares is feasible based on the financial feasibility criteria used, which consist of a Net Present Value of Rp3,936.314,983, Internal Rate Return of 65 percent, Gross B/C Ratio 4 .45, Net B/C Ratio 3.16, Payback Period 1.57 (1.6) years. The results of sensitivity analysis using two variables of output price and production level show that lemon farming in Midar Village is not too vulnerable to changes in selling prices and production declines, which can be seen from the price variable which is at the maximum limit of changes in the selling price of lemons reaching 72 ,8 percent and a decrease in the number of production, with a maximum limit of decline reaching 72.8 percent.
