Abstract

Toman Village is the only village that produces gambir plants in South Sumatera Province and produces liquid waste that is used as a natural dye of Musi Banyuasin’s jumputan characteristic. The jumputan business in Toman Village is relatively new. However, the Gambir jumputan fabric business is starting to increase, and its demand is increasing yearly. The objectives of this research are: to analyze the benefits of the gambir liquidity plant as a natural dye to jumputan production in the village of Toman district, to Analyze the feasibility of a jumputan in the village of Toman district, and Analyze the factors affecting the sustainability of business in the village of Toman district. They conducted this research in Toman district Musi Banyuasin Regency in January 2022. The research method used was a survey method. The responders of this research were four jumputan traders who used tedium sampling techniques as an example of a withdrawal method. The results of this research are a profit of Jumputan businesses Rp3.975.000-Rp17.202.000. Based on the due analysis of the legal aspects, technical and technological aspects, the environment of the four jumputan businesses is already feasible because the legal aspects already have business permits, and the market and marketing aspects have been well underway because of increased production from the previous year, from technical and technological aspects they have no constraints on production, and from lack of access to waste products that could damage the environmental ecosystem, both water, air, and soil, as well as the financial criteria of jumputan businesses in Toman Village bring an NPV of Rp710.843.738-Rp5.786.405.675, Net B/C of 1,19-1,65, and IRR of 74,59%-95,28%. The factors that can affect the sustainability of jumputan businesses from financial aspects are the operational costs and production of jumputan.
