Abstract

One dimensional Cutting Stock Problem (CSP) is an optimization problem in cutting raw material using one side cutting, length or width. In this research, CSP aims to minimize the cutting waste of reel paper which called trim loss. It used Two Phase approach and Branch and Bound method. Based on the result and discussion, it found that Two Phase approach is more appropriately in one dimensional CSP that has size of stocked reels than Branch and Bound method. While Branch and Bound method is more appropriately in one dimensional CSP that hasn’t size of stocked reels than Two Phase approach. It showed that both have much surplus and have little trim loss.
