Abstract

This research was conducted on the existing primary channel of raw rice fields in Dewa Sibur Village, Sungai Menang District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. The existing primary channel in field conditions is no longer functioning properly and causing problems. The problems that occur include the uneven supply of water to the paddy fields, this is due to the existing primary channel experiencing siltation due to erosion and the presence of shrubs that grow around the channel. In connection with these problems, this research will evaluate and re-plan the existing primary infrastructure (channels). The data used in this study were primary data and secondary data which were analyzed descriptively quantitatively, with a literature review referring to the 2013 Irrigation Planning Criteria. unable to accommodate the design discharge, so that the dimensions of the existing primary channel are planned to normalize the channel. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the dimensions of the primary channel plan for raw rice fields in Dewa Sibur Village, Sungai Menang District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, for the bottom width (b) are 0.45 m to 2.45 m, and the channel height (H) of 0.85 m to 1.83 m.
