Abstract

Rice is a very important food crop because almost all communities depend on rice commodities. Therefore, it is necessary to expand the rice production area in Indonesia with one way is the improvement of irrigation canals. This research aimed to: (1). Describe irrigation management in Pagar Ruyung Village, Kota Agung District, Lahat Regency (2). Calculate and analyze the cost of rice paddy irrigated rice farmers in Pagar Ruyung Village, Kota Agung District, Lahat Regency (3). Analyze factors influencing the production prices of irrigated rice farming in pagar ruyung village kota agung district lahat regency. This research was conducted in Pagar Ruyung Village, Kota Agung District, Lahat Regency. The determination of the location was determined deliberately where the majority of the people had a livelihood as rice farmers with a typology of irrigated land. The timing of the data collection was in October 2019. The research method used was the survey method. The data used were primary data and secondary data. The results showed that (1). Irrigation located in Pagar Ruyung Village, Pagar Ruyung district, still used simple irrigation. The length of irrigation found in Pagar Ruyung was village ± 6,000 m. This management function was also applied in the Association of Water User Farmers (P3A) by carrying out management functions, the planning function, organizing function, implementating function, directing function, and supervising function, in the operation and maintenance of irrigation, the implementating of the operation and maintenance of irrigation networks was mutually agreed upon in writing by the P3A water user farmer association (Umar Sakti). (2). The average total production cost incurred by irrigated paddy rice farmers in Pagar Ruyung Village in the first planting season and the second growing season, which was Rp6.060.690,- Lg/Th or Rp9.237.343,- Ha/th, the rice productivity level obtained was 5.015.8 Kg/Ha, and the Cost of Goods Cost was Rp1.687,- Kg, while the selling price was Rp7.871,- Then the difference obtained between the cost of goods and the selling price was Rp6.184,- (3). Factors that had a real effect on the cost of goods for rice farmers in Pagar Ruyung Village were land area, pesticide costs, seed costs while the factors that had an unreal effect were fertilizer costs, labor wage costs and land location.
