Abstract
Cu�ing StockProblem(CSP)isthedeterminationofhowtocutstocksintoitemswithcertaincu�ingrules.Adiversesetof stocksiscalledmultiplestocks.ThisstudyusedthePa�ernGeneration(PG)algorithmtodeterminethecu�ingpa�ernofthree sizes ofstocks,thenformulatedthemintotheGilmoreandGomoryModel.Thesetcoveringmodelwasgeneratedfromthe GilmoreandGomorymodel.Therearetwostagesofcu�ingwherethefirststageisbasedonthelengthandthesecondstage is basedonthewidth.Basedontheresults,selectedcu�ingpa�ernsinthefirststagecanbeusedinthesecondstage.The combination ofpa�ernsproducedintheGilmoreandGomorymodelshowedthattheuseofstocksislessthantheuseofstocks in thesetcoveringmodel.
