Abstract

PT Bima Putra Abadi Citranusa is a private company engaged in mining which is located in Lubuk Betung Village, South Merapi District, Lahat Regency, South Sumatra Province. In 2021, the coal production target at PT Bima Putra Abadi Citranusa is 2,589,563.35 tons, while the realization of production achievement is only 1,683,940.19 tons or around 65% of the planned target. On the basis of the unattainable production, it is necessary to analyze the performance of the digging and loading equipment in order to obtain optimal coal production. This study aims to analyze the achievement of coal production, the factors that affect the achievement of coal production, and evaluate efforts to increase coal production. The result of this research is that the actual productivity of the Dossan DX520LCA excavator and Dumptruck Hino 500 FM350 is 452.95 tons/hour and 339.35 tons/hour. The main factor affecting the performance of the digging and loading equipment is the low work efficiency of the operator. Loss of working time due to the large time constraint causes the low effective working time for digging and loading equipment only 296.1 hours and 238.4 hours with working efficiency of 40% and 32%, respectively. Then efforts are made to overcome existing work barriers by eliminating or minimizing obstacles that can be avoided such as start operation, start rest time, stop rest time, stop operation, repair tools. So that the effective working time of the digging and loading equipment increased by 352.3 hours and 354.9 hours with working efficiency of 47% and 48%, respectively. After calculating the production improvement of loading and unloading equipment, each increased to 2,514,703.32 tons and 2,422,873,92 tons with a production achievement of 94%.
