Abstract
Background: In patients who performed craniotomy surgery for a while will experience impaired mobilization and even decreased consciousness and complications can occur that cerebral tissue perfusion is ineffective. Cerebral tissue perfusion is a decrease in the circulation of brain tissue that can impair health. One of the things that nurses can do is 30o head elevation. Head elevation position is a conventional nursing action performed on Post op craniotomy patients. Purpose: Applying nursing care to patients SOL post craniotomy and cerebral perfusion risk management is not effective with 30o head elevation intervention in accordance with evidence based. Method: Using qualitative descriptive method of case studies. Result: There are 7 Nursing problems raised from the three patients with one of the same problems, namely the risk of ineffective cerebral perfusion. After a 30o head elevation intervention, there was an increase in cerebral perfusion and a decrease in intracranial pressure in post-craniotomy patients. Discussion: Head elevation position 30o is a position to raise the head of the bed with an angle of about 30o and the position of the body parallel to the legs. Things that need to be considered when doing head elevation 30o is putting the patient's position in a supine state, adjust the position of the head higher and the body in a flat state, legs in a straight state and not flexion, and adjust the height of the upper bed as high as 30o. Conclusion: The implications of administering 30o head elevation suggest that the ineffectiveness of cerebral tissue perfusion is again effective. Seen from the hemodynamic pressure of the three patients became stable, the patient had a good progress and on the last day two of the three patients experienced a level of composmentis awareness.
